Met up with some girlfriends for brunch at the organic hotspot, Counter on 1st avenue between 6th and 7th. The food was savory...sampled my friend's tuscan eggs dish- delish. Afterwards, we headed over to Venieros http://www.venierospastry.com/ for dessert and coffee. It's got a mom pop bakery feel...something that's unfortunately becoming more and more obsolete in the city.
